Blount County Government Budget Workshops for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026 and Friday, March 27, 2026, beginning at 9:00am.  

This is an excellent opportunity for every citizen to see what our departments have accomplished this past year and what their plans are for the future. The Budget Workshops are presentations from Elected Officials and Department Heads given directly to our Budget Committee regarding upcoming plans for the allocation of tax dollars for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year.  

The Workshops are open for the public to observe live at the Blount County Courthouse, Commission Room 430, and will also be available to watch remotely via live stream (https://www.youtube.com/@blounttngov/streams). A Public Hearing regarding the FY2026-2027 Budget will take place on June 11, 2026 at 5:00pm specifically for the purpose of public comment.
